Someone's GOT to figure out a way (politically or otherwise) to make this serious issue a SERIOUS ISSUE.

I mean shit, all these facts and comparisons to terrorism that prove that more Americans are being killed daily by guns than by any other way (or by idiots with guns so as to please the 2nd amendment purists) has GOT to come together to form a strategy to get some sort of control over the issue.

People have driver’s licenses to prove their ability to be able to handle motor vehicles. Professionals have licenses to prove their ability to provide services. Food services and restaurants have licenses to prove that their establishments are safe and clean to be able to serve humans. Street entertainers need licenses to be able to perform on city streets. Pet owners need licenses to be able to walk their pets in public areas. Hunting and Fishing enthusiasts need a license to be able to hunt with their guns. But owning guns? No license. Proving that you can use that a gun? No license. How about simply registration and inspection of a gun to prove ownership and to prove that it functions properly, like a motor vehicle? No license.
